Retro-inspired Arcade Title Go! Go! Mister Chickums Announced

Go! Go! Mister Chickums is a new retro-inspired single-screen arcade title from developer com8com1 Software. The game will launch on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5 in April 2026, with a demo scheduled to launch on Steam on February 12th, 2026. Go! Go! Mister Chickums is a fun, classic single-screen platformer, inspired by arcade hits of the 80s. The game can be played either in single-player mode or in local couch co-op with 2 players simultaneously.

Players will jump and run through 100 lovingly designed screens and collect the stolen eggs before the clock runs out. They’ll collect countless bonus items and take advantage of a variety of secret bonus mechanics to create extra lives. The game will also include lots of different enemies and bosses to challenge. Go! Go! Mister Chickums also boasts a wonderfully upbeat soundtrack by Zane Little, who is best known for his Flipnote animation videos on his YouTube channel, which has garnered over one million subscribers.

“Five years ago, Mister Chickums hatched as a sidekick in an unreleased project that we were about to cancel. He disagreed,” shares developer Marcel Rebenstorf. “So we built him a world to save, and packed it with countless collectibles, secrets, and charmingly quirky enemies. As lifelong fans of classic single-screen platformers, we’ve crafted a love letter to the addictive arcade mayhem of cult classics like Snow Bros. and Bubble Bobble. The result is Go! Go! Mister Chickums: the chaotic, cooperative action adventure we always wanted to play. Sometimes, you just have to listen to the chicken.”
