The Monty Mole Collection set to Burrow Up onto PC & Xbox This Friday

The Monty Mole Collection is a new compilation of six Monty Mole platform games that were originally released on the 8-bit ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64,  and Amstrad CPC home computers.

The games that will be included in The Monty Mole Collection are: Wanted! Monty Mole; Monty is Innocent; Sam Stoat: Safebreaker; Monty on the Run; Auf Wiedersehen Monty; and Moley Christmas.

The Monty Mole series of adventure platformer games for home microcomputers was the brainchild of Peter Harrap, the teenage son of a mining inspector, and was inspired by the 1984 mining strikes in the UK.

In addition to the six classic Monty Mole games, The Monty Mole Collection will also offer modern quality of life improvements, such as: display Filters; suspend points; and gameplay rewind.

The Monty Mole Collection has been developed by Imagine Software Ltd, which is a new and expanding games developer working on a huge range of iconic retro games, remastered classics as well as new and original IP on all current gen platforms, and it is being published by Pixel Games UK, which  is the games publishing arm of Andrews UK Limited which has been a leading indie media publisher and distributor for 23 years.

The Monty Mole Collection launches on Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store on January 23rd 2026.

I’m Mubarak AlSabah, born in ’87, and I’m a big fan of retro games. I’ve been gaming since ’93, so it’s been a lifelong passion for me. Collecting retro games is my favorite hobby, and I have a great collection that takes you back in time. In addition to gaming, I also have 830+ premium domain names, which is another hobby that I love just as much. I started collecting domains in ’97, combining my interest in the digital world with my love for nostalgic gaming. https://instagram.com/n64 https://x.com/stage1 https://www.mubarak.com/
