Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Burns onto Switch Online

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is the latest GameCube title to be added to the ever-expanding Nintendo Classics collection on Nintendo Switch 2 for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers, following the addition of Treasure’s 3D platformer Wario World last month, on which we previously reported.

This month’s GameCube addition to the Nintendo Classics collection is an RPG that was developed by Intelligent Systems, that was originally released on Nintendo GameCube back in 2005.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance was the ninth game to be released in the Fire Emblem series of historical fantasy RPGs, which began with the game Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light (originally just titled Fire Emblem) on the Famicom/NES back in 1990.

The most recent Fire Emblem title to be  released to date is last year’s Fire Emblem: Shadows, which was a mobile game released for Android and iOS.

A new Fire Emblem game, titled Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is set for release on Nintendo Switch 2 on an as yet unconfirmed date later this year, but as of today, Nintendo Switch 2 owning RPG fans can play the GameCube title Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance while thy wait for the release of the new instalment in the series.

Collecting retro games is my favorite hobby, and I have a great collection that takes you back in time. In addition to gaming, I also have 830+ premium domain names, which is another hobby that I love just as much. I started collecting domains in ’97, combining my interest in the digital world with my love for nostalgic gaming. https://instagram.com/n64 https://x.com/stage1 https://www.mubarak.com/
