Creative-first indie publisher and developer Mega<\/strong> Cat<\/strong> Studios<\/strong> has announced its partnership with Awesome<\/strong> Games<\/strong> Done<\/strong> Quick<\/strong>, the annual charity speedrunning marathon organized by Games<\/strong> Done<\/strong> Quick<\/strong>, taking place from January 4-10, 2026 at the Wyndham Grand<\/strong> Pittsburgh Downtown<\/strong> in Pittsburgh, PA. A celebrated fixture in the competitive gaming community, GDQ<\/strong> has raised over $57M since 2010 for charitable causes, and is closing in on over 10M live hours watched, 3M+ unique viewers, and 60K average concurrent viewers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Attendees of AGDQ 2026<\/strong> are invited to lounge in the publisher\u2019s mock living room and channel their inner competitive cats with a number of activities. Guests will be given a curated retro collection of fan-beloved titles to play, compete for prizes, and relax in the portable living room. They can step up to the plate and swing for the fences with the Backyard<\/strong> Baseball<\/strong> home run high score challenge. Or, if arcade action is more their thing, they can take to the surreal skies and test their piloting skills in the ZPF<\/strong> speedrun challenge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to contests, the Mega Cat Studios<\/strong> booth will also offer attendees the chance to go hands-on with several unreleased and recently launched indie titles, including The Angry Video Game Nerd 8-Bit<\/strong>, Phantom<\/strong> Gear<\/strong>, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

AGDQ 2026<\/strong> is being held in support of the Prevent Cancer Foundation<\/strong>, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering people to stay ahead of cancer through prevention and early detection. Once the event begins, donations can be made to the charity via GamesDoneQuick.com<\/strong><\/a>. All proceeds go directly to the nonprofit. <\/span><\/p>\n
