The new additions to the <strong>Game Boy<\/strong> <strong>Nintendo Classics<\/strong> catalog on <strong>Nintendo Switch Online<\/strong> are: <strong>Yoshi<\/strong>, a puzzle game starring Mario\u2019s dinosaur sidekick developed by G<strong>ame Freak<\/strong>, that was originally released in Japan in 1991 and in North America and Europe in 1992; and <strong>Balloon Kid<\/strong>, a platform game that was developed internally at N<strong>intendo<\/strong> under the auspices of <strong>Gunpei Yokoi<\/strong>, that was originally released in North America in 1990, and in Europe in 1991.<br \/><br \/>Unusually, the Japanese version of <strong>Balloon Kid<\/strong> was reprogrammed to become a licensed Hello Kitty title named Hello Kitty World, and rather than being published by Nintendo, this version of the game was published by Character Soft in 1992.<br \/><br \/>These latest additions to <strong>Nintendo Switch Online<\/strong>\u2019s <strong>Game Boy<\/strong> <strong>Nintendo Classics<\/strong> catalog follow the previous two additions to the catalog back in November 2025, which were Kid Icarus: Myths and Monsters and Bionic Commando, as we <a href=\"https:\/\/www.retronews.com\/staging\/switch-online-nes-game-boy-catalogs-expand\/\">reported at the time<\/a>.<br \/><br \/>To be able to play these two games and the rest of the <strong>Game Boy<\/strong> <strong>Nintendo Classics<\/strong> catalog, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendo.com\/us\/online\/nintendo-switch-online\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nintendo Switch Online<\/a> membership is required.
