Since then, the game has been received well by critics and gamers, and an announcement has been made that <strong>Constance<\/strong> will be heading to <strong>Nintendo<\/strong> <strong>Switch<\/strong> on May 1st, 2026. There was also news that a <strong>PlayStation 5<\/strong> and<strong> Xbox Series X<\/strong> release would follow, and it has now been confirmed that these versions will launch the same day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a press statement, the publishers said. \u201cAs revealed today at the Japanese <strong>Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase<\/strong>, <strong>Blue<\/strong> <strong>Backpack<\/strong> and co-publishing partners <strong>ByteRockers Games<\/strong> and <strong>PARCO<\/strong> <strong>GAMES<\/strong> are excited to confirm that their critically acclaimed 2D hand-drawn metroidvania, <strong>Constance<\/strong>, is coming to <strong>Nintendo<\/strong> <strong>Switch<\/strong>. Constance was hailed as among the best in the genre and won comparisons to the likes of <strong>Hollow<\/strong> <strong>Knight<\/strong> and <strong>Celeste<\/strong> when it hit PC in December 2025. Switch fans can now experience the metroidvania exploration, flow-state platforming, and engaging combat.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In <strong>Constance<\/strong>, players can transform into paint to dive into the ground and walls, slice through the air and enemies, and utilize an array of unique brush techniques to experience a constant state of flow. They\u2019ll become stronger by unlocking new brush techniques, defeating threatening foes, overcoming platforming challenges, and solving complex puzzles to advance their progress.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are 6 unique biomes to explore in <strong>Constance<\/strong>\u2019s inner world, with each region featuring its unique set of enemies and characters representing different aspects of her psyche and personal history.
