Atlanta TD<\/strong> is a new roguelite tower defense game from developers Garnet<\/strong> and Tin Man Games<\/strong><\/a> due for release on Steam<\/strong> in 2026. The game is procedurally generated and set in a world where the armies of the underworld descend onto the Four Spectacular Realms in waves. With Zeus fallen and the Four Spectacular Realms seemingly defenceless, players will call upon the remaining Gods to protect the city of Atlanta<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

“While I was at university, I always had this idea to make a pixel art tower defense game, but outside of that idea, I could never really nail down the Unique Selling Point.” Shared lead developer Jake<\/strong> Meyer<\/strong>. “Shortly after graduating, I started a YouTube<\/strong> channel around game development, which got a fair bit of attention, and while looking for a job, I thought I could start this project, release it within a year, and document the entire process on YouTube<\/strong>. Three years on, I think it\u2019s safe to say how that turned out.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I worked on this project in my spare time over a year and a half \u2013 building the idea, the design, and the lore of Atlanta,\u00a0 before pitching it to Tin<\/strong> Man<\/strong> Games<\/strong>, who were in a transitional period from their previous project, and I was extremely fortunate to have been able to work on it with them since then. We now have an amazing team who have contributed to it to produce something bigger than I ever could have imagined \u2013 and seeing it get to this stage and feel so real is the most incredible feeling, and I am so excited for people to be able to play it!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Multiverse God Variants: The mysterious Nexus Portal acts as a gateway to multiple universes, which Ares has breached and uses to launch his invasion. But it also allows for multiple variants of the gods, allowing more gods to combat the armies of the Underworld.<\/span><\/p>\n
