The developer has described the game as \u201c<strong>Metal<\/strong> <strong>Slug<\/strong> meets <strong>Borderlands<\/strong>\u201d, and a new demo has just been released on <strong>Steam<\/strong>. <strong>Clockwork<\/strong> <strong>Ambrosia<\/strong> has been in development for 14 years and combines elements of traditional Metroidvania and modern ideas. The game is expected to launch on <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/896010\/Clockwork_Ambrosia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Steam<\/strong><\/a> in April.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Players are placed in the boots of Iris, an itinerant airship engineer trying to escape the island of Aspida after a near-miss airship crash. Our plucky heroine soon finds herself caught up in a mystery spanning eons when the island&#8217;s populace disappears, seemingly replaced by deadly robots and monsters. It\u2019s up to her to uncover the truth of what befell the island\u2019s populace and restore the land to its former glory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe\u2019re big fans of <strong>Super<\/strong> <strong>Metroid<\/strong>, but one aspect of that seminal classic we felt could be improved upon is its weapon-building,\u201d said <strong>Nathan<\/strong> <strong>Hiemenz<\/strong>, Founder and Developer at <strong>Realmsoft<\/strong>. \u201cIn <strong>Super<\/strong> <strong>Metroid<\/strong>, the weapon modifications are additive and unlocked in a linear progression, stacking on top of each other. Once you get an upgrade, there\u2019s no reason not to use it.
