Modder Proteus Resurrection is currently adapting Konami‘s Castlevania: Bloodlines, which was originally released on the Genesis, for the SNES platform. Set in 1917, the narrative follows characters John Morris and Eric Lecarde as they strive to thwart Dracula.
In a recent demonstration, Proteus Resurrection highlighted significant enhancements, including parallax scrolling, refined animations, and new effects such as scrolling mist and falling rain, which were beyond the capabilities of the Genesis hardware. This presentation represents the project’s first public unveiling, with intentions to release a demo once development is finalized.
