Konami‘s official remake of Silent Hill 2, powered by Unreal Engine 5, is scheduled for release on October 8th. But how does it compare to the original game? A fan-created graphics comparison offers insight, particularly in visual terms.
One of the first noticeable changes is the updated third-person camera system, which allows players to see James exploring the familiar environments on a larger scale. The combat system has been completely overhauled, featuring enemies that respond to gunfire. Additionally, James can once again wield melee weapons as in the original, and new stealth mechanics have been incorporated.
