Donkey Kong Area Revealed in Special Nintendo Direct Today

Nintendo has announced that a Super Nintendo World Direct will take place on November 11, 2024. This special presentation will focus on the Donkey Kong Country expansion at Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Japan. The Direct is scheduled for 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM GMT / 11 PM CET, and it will last approximately 10 minutes.

Tune in on 11/11 at 2 p.m. PT for a SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Direct livestream! The stream will be roughly 10 minutes and showcase Donkey Kong Country of #SuperNintendoWorld at Universal Studios Japan. No game information will be featured. #NintendoDirect

The Direct will provide an in-depth look at the new Donkey Kong-themed area, which includes attractions like the Mine-Cart Madness roller coaster. This expansion is expected to open before the end of 2024, though some speculate that the Direct may reveal an official opening date or confirm if there are any delays into 2025.

It’s important to note that no video game information will be shared during this presentation, as it is solely focused on the theme park expansion. For those interested in future developments, a similar Donkey Kong Country area will also be part of the upcoming Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, set to open in May 2025
