New Homebrew NES Game Smashes Kickstarter Target

A new homebrew NES game titled Hazard: Let Us Out! Is currently seeking funds on Kickstarter, and at the time of writing, the campaign still has 22 days to go, but has already made nearly double its its target goal of £2,418, with the current total raised standing at £5,045, from 78 backers.

Hazard: Let Us Out! Is a survival platformer for your NES or NES emulator, which is being developed by vintage tech enthusiast Gilbert Vera, who promises the following features that his new homebrew NES game: ”crazy Bosses and mechanized mayhem, multiple endings depending on the scientists you save.) Five weapons to unlock, choices that matter to be made in cutscenes, puzzle platformer mechanics, normal and “one man” play modes”, and that old favorite, the Konami code.

Rewards on offer in the Kickstarter campaign include the digital ROM of the game, a branded USB stick loaded with the game’s ROM, or a choice of NES cartridges (either the Standard Edition on a black cartridge complete in box with an instruction manual, and all digital rewards, or a Collector’s Edition on a transparent green cartridge, in a green foil collector’s box, with an instruction manual, all digital rewards, and even an ‘Ultimate Collector’s Edition’, which also includes a 3D diorama of the game.
