Marvel Cosmic Invasion Battling onto Consoles & PC This Year

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a new retro-style side-scrolling beat ‘em up from TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge developers Tribute and publishers Dotemu. Marvel Cosmic Invasion will feature a roster of 15 of Marvel’s beloved heroes to choose from, with confirmed characters including Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Storm, Venom, and Nova.

Much like the aforementioned TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, Marvel Cosmic Invasion will allow up to four players to play at once. Online co-op and accessibility features are also promised.

Marvel themselves describe Marvel Cosmic Invasion as follows on their website for the game: ”In Marvel Cosmic Invasion, choose from 15 of Marvel’s greatest Super Heroes to create your own team of two characters and fight against the intergalactic conqueror Annihilus! Tag between them mid-fight with the innovative Cosmic Swap system, and capitalize on each character’s abilities to create unique combos and powerful special attacks! With its dynamic combat combos and dazzling pixel art, this planet-hopping adventure stands as a true love letter to the Marvel Universe!”

Despite being announced during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, much like Gradius Origins, on which we reported earlier, Marvel Cosmic Invasion will not only be released for Nintendo Switch, also battling its way onto PlayStation 4&5, Xbox, and PC. No release date has yet been confirmed, other than “2025”.
