Pinball Action Spins out of Arcade Archives Tomorrow

Pinball Action, a 1985 pinball arcade video game by Tehkan, has been confirmed as this week’s Arcade Archives release for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Pinball Action offers four different pinball tables to play on, and the aim of the game has been described by Arcade Archives publishers Hamster Corporation as follows: “Try to clear all the features on all four tables, switching between them over the game! Use tricks to shake the tables, control the ball, and seize any chance at a win!”

Pinball Action’s publishers Tekhan went on to become Koei Tecmo Games, following several company mergers. Other arcade games released by Tehkan before the company merged with Tecmo in 1987 included Swimmer in 1982, Guzzler in 1983, Bomb Jack in 1984, and Tehkan World Cup in 1986.

We’ve just realized we didn’t get around to telling you what last week’s Arcade Archives release was! So, in case you haven’t seen it, last week’s Arcade Archives release was Tatakae Big Fighter, which is a 1989 shoot ‘em up by Nichibutsu, and it is, of course, still available for Nintendo Switch on the eshop, and for PlayStation 4 on the PS Store.

Pinball Action will also be available on the eshop and PS Store from tomorrow (Thursday April 24, 2025).
