We previously reported on the vinyl release of the soundtrack to The Rubber-Keyed Wonder, a documentary film about the 8-bit ZX Spectrum home computer.
Now, just like all the best films back in the day, The Rubber-Keyed Wonder has its very own ZX Spectrum tie-in game! Well, a minigame, at least.
The creators of The Rubber-Keyed Wonder Game describe it as follows: “The world has been cursed, all the instruments have been stolen and dwell in a far away parrellel ZX 48k Spectrum universe somewhere, our Brand New Hero ‘Speccy’ has heard the news via online whisperings that a new movie about the amazing ZX Spectrum has been made and there’s no way in 8Bit hell he’s going to let this movie happen without a sound-track! Its now up to you to bring back all the instruments, save the world, get the girl and take her back to see this epic movie so we can all live happily ever after!” Sounds intriguing!
You can download The Rubber-Keyed Wonder Game for ZX Spectrum for free from itch.io, but the developers are also raising funds for the Southend Cystic Fibrosis Association, so if you enjoy the game, and you’re feeling charitable, you can make a donation at this link.
And if you still haven’t seen the actual Rubber-Keyed Wonder documemtary film, it’s available to buy on DVD and Blu-Ray.
