Danger Mouse Game Coming Next Year

Danger Mouse

Danger Mouse is the British animated children’s series that originally aired in the UK in 1981 on the ITV network, and in the USA from 1984, on the childrens’ cable channel Nickelodeon, next year, as part of the 45th anniversary celebrations of Danger Mouse, a new Danger Mouse game will be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. While the game is being released to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the debut of the original cartoon, it appears to be based on the series’s 2015 revival by the BBC.

Danger Mouse joins a seemingly ever-growing list of releases based on classic children’s TV shows aimed at parting nostalgic retro gamers with their money, such as the Nickelodeon Splat Pack and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction, on both of which we have previously reported. This won’t be the first time Danger Mouse has had the video game treatment, with Danger Mouse in Double Trouble being released for the 8-bit ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64 home computers back in 1984, and for the Amstrad CPC in 1985.

While little is known about the Danger Mouse game, the official website teases “15 levels of side-scrolling arcade battle action”, and fans of Danger Mouse’s hamster sidekick, Penfold, will be pleased to know that the game promises co-op play, with one player taking control of Penfold himself! Danger Mouse is being developed by Art of Play and will be published by Boat Rocker. A Kickstarter to help fund the production of the game is set to open on October 30, 2025, with the game’s release set for sometime in 2026. In the meantime, you can wishlist Danger Mouse on Steam now.
