Unto Deepest Depths is the latest retro-influenced indie game for the Nintendo Switch to be announced by indie publisher Flynn’s Arcade, who will also be releasing the spooky shooter Silver Bullet next month, on Halloween, as we previously reported.
This new title from Flynn’s Arcade, titled Unto Deepest Depths, is a turn-based strategy game with a dark fantasy theme. The game has been developed by McCollum Games, who will also be publishing the game on PC, via Steam, while Flynn’s Arcade will be handling the Nintendo Switch release.
Unto Deepest Depths has been described as “a turn-based strategy game where all units must move and attack every turn. Build your party, upgrade your units, and lead them into the unknown to vanquish the horrors below in this punishing roguelite where any move could be your last.”
The game seems something of a departure from Flynn’s Arcade’s usual arcade-style titles, but ot does retain the retro look and feel for which we love their games here at Retro News! A release date for Flynn’s Arcade’s Nintendo Switch version of Unto Deepest Depths has not yet been confirmed, but the Steam release is due this year, so let’s hope the Nintendo Switch version is too!
