Bomb Jack Twin has been announced as this week’s release in Hamster Corporation’s weekly Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 lines of emulated arcade titles, following on from last week’s release of Touchdown Fever, on which we previously reported.

This week’s release, Bomb Jack Twin, is the 1993 revision of  Tehkan (now Tecmo)’s 1984 arcade platformer, Bomb Jack. This version of Bomb Jack was released into arcades by NMK, and it differs from the original game because it adds the ability for two players to play simultaneously.

Hamster Corporation describes Bomb Jack Twin as follows: “Bomb Jack is back, cuter and tougher than ever! Two-player simultaneous play is also possible!
Dodge enemy attacks and collect all the bombs on the stage. Prioritize grabbing the lit bombs for a chance at a high score!”

The original Bomb Jack game received many home ports, and even sequels, back in the 8-bit era, but now, thanks to Hamster Corporation, modern gamers can enjoy a two-player version of the arcade original from the comfort of their own homes, with Bomb Jack Twin.

The Arcade Archives version of Bomb Jack Twin will explode onto Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 tomorrow (15th January 2026), pieced at $7.99 USD, with the Arcade Archives 2 version exploding onto Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $9.99 USD.
