Retrocade set to Launch on Apple Arcade Next Month

Retrocade

Anything beginning with the word ”retro” and ending with the suffix “-cade” was always going to pique our interest here at Retro News, so what is this exciting-sounding Retrocade?

Retrocade is a new game that’s set to launch on Apple Arcade on February 5th, 2026.

The game offers Apple Arcade subscribers the chance to experience a selection of stone-cold arcade classics in an exciting new way.
Apple Vision Pro users will get to immerse themselves in a virtual 1980s arcade, simulating how the games were originally intended to be played, and the Retrocade games themselves will also be playable on iPhone and iPad.

Apple describes Retrocade as “a curated celebration of classic arcade history — an all-in-one hub for timeless hits available on some of the latest digital platforms (Apple Vision Pro, iPhone, and iPad), built for quick sessions, high scores, and pure nostalgia.”

At launch, Retrocade will include a collection of classic games including Asteroids, Bubble Bobble, Centipede, Galaga, and more.

Retrocade has been developed by Resolution Games, which is an award-winning games studio based in Stockholm, Sweden. Whose previous titles include Demeo, Game Room, Racket Club, Blaston, Bait!, Acron: Attack of the Squirrels, and
Cook-Out: A Sandwich Tale. The studio is known for creating co-operative game
experiences that are incredibly immersive and playable across platforms. For more information, visit the Resolution Games website.
