Rave Racer to get First Ever Home Release this Month

Rave Racer is the second sequel to Namco’s popular 1993 arcade racer, Ridge Racer, following its 1994 sequel, Ridge Racer 2.

Despite being released into arcades over 30 years ago, way back in 1995, Rave Racer has somehow never received a port to home formats, but that’s set to change later this month, thanks to – who else? Hamster Corporation’s Arcade Archives line, which released the original Ridge Racer onto modern formats last year, as we reported at the time.

In a post made on X, Hamster Corporation has confirmed that Rave Racer will be making its home debut on “five consoles, including Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.” Although they’re not listed by name, every other Arcade Archives release to date has seen a Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, release, so it’s a pretty safe bet that those are the other two consoles that will be seeing Rave Racer this month.

Rave Racer will be released via Arcade Archives on February 26th 2026, so we have two further Arcade Archives releases to look forward to before we can get our hands on Rave Racer, but if you can’t wait that long foe some arcade racing action on your console, you may be interested in last week’s Arcade Archives release, Top Speed, on which we previously reported.
