The Evercade Nexus has been announced as the latest Evercade hardware SKU from Blaze Entertainment.
While previous Evercade hardware models have tended to lean towards the cheap and cheerful end of the market, the Evercade Nexus has clearly been designed as a premium handheld gaming experience.
Recent Evercade cartridge releases, such as the Tomb Raider collections, on which we have previously reported, have often included 32-bit, and even 64-bit games on them, and the Evercade Nexus has been designed with such games in mind, with its controls including dual analog sticks, as well as a D-Pad, face buttons, and rear bumper and trigger buttons.
Other features of the Evercade Nexus will include a 5.89″ 840×512 IPS high resolution screen with 500+ nit brightness; a quad core 1.5Ghz processor, 4Gb EMMC RAM; wireless headphone support; WiFi 6 5Ghz/2.4Ghz for console updates; and a 5+ hour 5000mAH battery.
The Evercade Nexus will also allow games to be played in local two-player mode, with the new EverSync function, that allows two Evercade Nexus consoles to connect to each other wirelessly.
The Evercade Nexus even comes with a pretty big-name pack-in cartridge, in the form of a “double pack” cartridge containing both Banjo-Kazooie and its sequel Banjo-Tooie.
In addition to the standard black Evercade Nexus, Blaze Entertainment will also be releasing a limited edition Evercade Nexus 64 Edition that is exclusive to Funstock and limited to just 2,000 units. This limited edition boasts a color scheme inspired by a certain classic console with “64” in its name, and it comes with a 64 Edition PVA hard case, a glass screen protector, an exclusive poster, and a numbered certificate of authenticity.
The Evercade Nexus is set for release on 30th October 2026, retailing at $199.99 USD (or local equivalent), with pre-orders opening tomorrow (April 1st, 2026).
