Street Smart, a 1989 arcade brawler by SNK, has been confirmed as this week’s entry in Hamster Corporation’s Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 lines of emulated coin-op tiles, following last week’s release of Konami GT, on which we reported previously.

In Street Smart, the one or two players must assume the role of a karate master or a professional wrestler and brawl their way across America, and in the game’s two-player co-op mode, the players must ultimately face off against each other, to prove which fighter is “the ultimate street brawler.”

The Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 releases of Street Smart are the game’s first home console releases since it received a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive conversion back in 1991.

The Arcade Archives version of Street Smart is released today (April 23, 2026), on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, priced at $7.99 USD or local equivalent, and the Arcade Archives 2 version of Street Smart, which adds a new “time attack” mode, is released on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $9.99 or local equivalent.

As usual, purchasers of the Arcade Archives version of the game on Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the Arcade Archives 2 version on Nintendo Switch 2 or PlayStation 5 respectively, for $2.99 USD or local equivalent.
