New Genesis/Mega Drive Adventure Game Elansar Seeks Pre-Orders to Go Physical

Elansar is a new point and click adventure game that was originally developed for the Atari Falcon, but which is now being ported to the Genesis/Mega Drive, and it needs funding before it can be produced!

However, Elansar is being published as a physical release by Broke Studio’s Homebrew Factory label, on which we have previously reported, so the method of raising funds is little different from Kickstarter and other such crowdfunding platforms. Tio ensure its publication, Elansar needs to receive a total of at least 20 pre-orders.

Homebrew Factory describes Elansar as follows: “Welcome to the Island of Elansar! Will you uncover its mysteries? The aim of the game is to explore the island and solve puzzles. It’s a point-and-click game in the style of the famous Myst and Riven games. Featuring stunning graphics for the Sega Genesis / Megadrive!”

The physical Genesis/Mega Drive release of the game will include: a game cartridge, a clamshell game box with full color inlay, and a full color manual.

The crowdfunding campaign for the physical edition of Elansar began today, so still has a whole 30 days left to run. At the time of writing, two pre-orders have been placed for the game.

If you’d prefer a digital copy of the game that can run on PC and Dreamcast, it’s available now from developer OrionSoft’s itch.io page.
