We’ve been following the release of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction with much interest. The retro-styled pixel-art beat ‘em up from developer Bitmap Bureau and publisher Clear River Games feels like the icing on the cake for He-Man’s resurgence as a great franchise.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction will launch digitally on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and Steam on February 4th, 2027, and we now have details of the inevitable physical release. Two physical versions of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction will be available, with both now being up for pre-order. The most basic version is the standard release from Clear River Games, which will ship from and cost around $30.
The version that will probably be of most interest to many He-Man fans is the Limited Run Games collector’s edition that has a plethora of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe goodies inside. Firstly, the game itself has a special slipcover and a steelbook, so it will look great on the shelf. The pack also includes a very retro lunchbox, a mini comic, a small Sword of Eternia, a pin set, and an acrylic standee.
Both versions are expected to ship around the same time as the actual game, and Limited Run Games is also producing a standard edition for US markets.
