The Thunder Hoop Collection is a new compilation that’s set to compile Gaelco’s 1992 arcade platform shooter Thunder Hoop, and its 1994 sequel, TH Strikes Back.
In addition to the two Thunder Hoop arcade games, the Thunder Hoop Collection will also add modern quality of life features, such as rewind and save states; as well as other features including screen filters and local co-op multiplayer.
The new collection will be published by QUByte Interactive, which has been doing an impressive job of re-releasing retro titles under the QUByte Classics banner, with previous collections including the Street Racer Collection and the Beat ‘Em Up Collection, on which we have previously reported.
Although we don’t yet have a firm release date for the Thunder Hoop Collection, QUByte Interactive has confirmed that it will be released this year, and thanks to a post on QUByte Interactive’s X account, we know that we can expect to see the Thunder Hoop Collection on Nintendo Switch, Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. You can also wishlist the Thunder Hoop Collection on Steam now.
Both Thunder Hoop games have also seen releases on Evercade in recent years, with Thunder Hoop appearing on the Gaelco Arcade 1 cartridge, and TH Strikes Back on the Gaelco Arcade 2 cartridge.
