You guessed it, it’s another announcement from Gamescom 2026! Bleemcast is a new streaming service for retro games that has aspirations to be: “ a Netflix-like service for retro games, powered by your phone and playable on any screen.”
Created by Piko Interactive, who previously revived the Bleem brand for their online retro games store, as we reported previously, Bleemcast takes a Netflix-like approach to retro gaming, putting a library of classic games directly on the player’s phone. Games can be played on the go or, using Bleemcast’s casting technology (patent pending), games can be cast to any compatible screen, apparently with no latency, according to Piko Interactive.
As you might expect, Bleemcast will offer previously released titles from Piko‘s catalog, but there are also plans to continually expand the service with newly developed games based on Piko-owned IP, and Piko Interactive also plans to work with other publishers and IP owners to bring their catalogs and games to Bleemcast, with the long-term goal of building the service into a go-to destination for retro gaming.
