Mr. Do’s Castle opens up on Arcade Archives from Today

Mr. Do’s Castle, the sequel to 1982’s seminal arcade title Mr. Do, has been announced as this week’s release in Hamster Corporation’s Arcade Archives and Arcade Archives 2 lines of emulated coin-op titles for modern formats, following last week’s release of Karnov, on which we reported at the time.

This week’s game was originally released into arcades by Universal in 1983, and it joins its predecessor, Mr. Do, which itself received an Arcade Archives release earlier this year, back in May, on which we also reported at the time.

Hamster Corporation describes the gameplay of Mr. Do’s Castle as follows: “take control of a clown character and defeat the unicorns. Use your hammer to knock blocks down and crush the unicorns to defeat them. Make clever use of the stage mechanics by changing ladder directions to alter your path or trapping unicorns in holes to immobilize them!”

The Arcade Archives version of Mr. Do’s Castle is available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 from today (September 17, 2026), priced at $7.99 USD or local equivalent.

Meanwhile, the Arcade Archives 2 version of Mr. Do’s Castle, which adds a new Time Attack mode to the game, will be  available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $9.99 USD or local equivalent.

As usual, purchasers of the Arcade Archives version of the game on Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the Arcade Archives 2 version at a later date, on Nintendo Switch 2 or PlayStation 5 respectively, for $2.99 USD or local equivalent.
