Lufia I & II The Sinistrals Saga was announced during the PC Gaming Show at the Tokyo Game Show yesterday (September 20, 2026).
The collection will compile the SNES JRPG Lufia and its sequel, Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals into one single package.
Lufia was originally released on the SNES by Taito, back in 1993, with , Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals following in Japan in 1995, then in North America in 1996, eventually reaching Europe in 1997.
While the package only compiles the two Lufia games that were released for the SNES, the series would also receive two handheld entries: Lufia: The Legend Returns, for Game Boy Color in 2001, and Lufia: The Ruins of Lore, for Game Boy Advance in 2002.
Lufia I & II The Sinistrals Saga will be released by Clear River Games next year on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Steam , and you can wishlist the game on Steam now.
Lufia I & II The Sinistrals Saga joins several other retro and retro-styled games that made their debut at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, including the pixel art platformer ‘Go Slimey Go!,’ new home releases of the 90s arcade fighter Psychic Force 2012, and the revival of 90s platformer Putty, in the form of Putty World, on all of which we have reported previously.
