Bill the Dog Needs Pre-orders to Leap onto NES

Bill the Dog is a new old-school retro arcade-style platform game for the NES that is hoping to receive a physical release.

In order to be produced as physical NES cartridge by Broke Studio’s Homebrew Factory service, on which we have reported previously, Bill the Dog needs to receive a minimum of 20 pre-orders. At the thime of writing, four orders for the game have been placed, meaning that 16 more pre-orders are required before the cut-off date of July 23, 2026, in order to make a physical NES release of Bill the Dog a reality.

Bill the Dog’s developer, NES Guy, describes the game as follows: “Bill the Dog must overcome dangerous obstacles and fierce enemies to rescue his girlfriend, Beatrice! She is being held captive by the villainous guard Tony. Defeat Tony with the magic wand to rescue Beatrice and live happily ever after!”

The planned physical release of Bill the Dog will run on both PAL and NTSC systems, and it will include a brand new cartridge, a cartridge sleeve, a full color cardboard box, and a Styrofoam block, and it is priced at 50.00 €, with pre-orders open until July 23, via Homebrew Factory, where you can also find a free digital demo of the game. to try Bill the Dog before you buy.
