Ever Wanted to Be Shigeryu Miyamoto? Your Dreams Could Come True with with Blocky Land Builder (Almost.)

Blocky Land Builder is a new platform game level creation tool that has been designed to let you build your own platform game levels in the style of the NES game Super Mario Bros. 2, or, as it was known in Japan, of course, Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic.

Blocky Land Builder’s developer, Deprecated Games describes the editor as “beginner friendly,” so you should be able to create your own Super Mario Bros. 2-style levels even if you don’t have much technical know-how, or any knowledge of coding, and a campaign that has been created using the tool, titled Alpha Quest comes included with the editor.

Deprecated Games says that: “the in‑game editor supports full controller input, as well as keyboard and mouse, so you can create comfortably however you like,” adding that: “the levels you create will be: “saved as shareable JSON files, making it easy to distribute your creations or collaborate with others.”

While Blocky Land Builder is still in an early alpha stage of development, you can download it right away for free from Deprecated Gamesitch.io page.

Deprecated Games certainly has a proven track record when it comes to making platform games, as we found out recently when we reviewed their bloody good retro-style pixel art platform game Living Dead House.
