Boardwalk Builders set to Build onto Switch This Month

The building management sim Boardwalk Builders is set to be the next retro-influenced pixel art Nintendo Switch release from the prolific indie publisher Flynn’s Arcade, a publisher from whom we’ve enjoyed many previous releases, such as Viral Reload EX, Living Dead House, and Unto Deepest Depths.

The next game to be published on Nintendo Switch by Flynn’s Arcade will be Boardwalk Builders, which has been described by the publisher as: “a game all about building a beautiful boardwalk,” in which you, “start with small stands and grow into a sprawling seaside paradise full of rides, high-end shops and fancy restaurants.”

This intriguing-looking strategic building management simulator certainly sounds a bit different from Flynn’s Arcade’s usual fare of arcade platformers and shmups, while still boasting the gorgeous pixel art aesthetic for which we’ve come to know and love the publisher.

Boardwalk Builders has been developed by Studio Primitive, the pixel art game developers behind the humorous shmup Attack of the Karens, and it was first released on Steam back in May, with Flynn’s Arcade set to bring the game to the Nintendo Switch on September 24, 2026, priced at $7.99 USD or local equivalent, with a 25% discount on offer for the game’s first week.
