Caladrius 2/Dark Element has been announced as the sequel to Moss’s 2013 vertically scrolling shooter Caladrius, which was originally released on Xbox 360, before being ported to a number of other formats.
And now, in 2026, publisher H2 Interactive says that: “The Caladrius series returns. Thirteen years after the original title made its debut, the series is reborn with a brand-new installment that further evolves the shocking experience fans remember. Set in a dark gothic world where beauty and darkness intertwine, Caladrius 2/Dark Element delivers exhilarating 2D bullet-hell shooting action. Fight your way across battlefields engulfed in darkness alongside a cast of unique characters brought to life by talented new illustrators.”
Caladrius 2/Dark Element has been developed by Kaminari Games, and it will be published by Moss in Japan, and by H2 Interactive in the rest of the world, with the game set to release on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Winter 2026.In the meantime, you can keep up to date with the latest news on Caladrius 2/Dark Element via H2 Interactive‘s YouTube channel. Physical versions of the game are planned for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, but the PC version will be released digitally only, set to be releassed via Steam.
