Castlevania releases are seemingly ever popular with retro gamers, as we have previously reported on the Castlevania Dominus Collection, which compiled Castlevania titles from Nintendo DS and arcade, as well as recently reporting on an unofficial fan port of Castlevania for Sega Master System. Castlevania has a history dating back 40 years, to the original 1986 NES title, amd of course, the setoes has been so influential that it’s has a whole genre partly named after it, providing the “-vania” suffix in “Metroidvania”.
