Donkey Kong ’94 DX: Remastered By Fans

Donkey Kong ’94, a Game Boy title launched alongside Donkey Kong Country, is often overlooked despite being a standout in the series. Loosely based on the original 1981 arcade game and its sequel, Donkey Kong Jr., it was developed by Nintendo EAD and Pax Softnica, featuring enhanced visuals with the Super Game Boy.

Recently, a fan-made remaster called Donkey Kong DX has emerged, transforming the game into a Game Boy Color experience compatible with real hardware. Creator marc_max, with help from collaborators kensuyjin33 and Jorge2D, emphasizes the ambitious nature of this project, expressing gratitude for the community’s support throughout the development process.

I’m Yousiff Taqi, born in ’87, and I’ve been a huge fan of retro games for as long as I can remember. My favorites are RPGs, Platformers, and Action Adventure. I’ve been interested in computers ever since I was young, which is why I pursued a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from Purdue University. Now, armed with my passion for both retro gaming and computer engineering, I’m excited to embark on new adventures in the world of technology, where I hope to merge my interests and make meaningful contributions. https://www.instagram.com/Aeon https://twitter.com/FencerDarkwind
