It enables players to use mods in multiplayer modes for the first time, breathing new life into these iconic games.
Key Features of the Update
- Multiplayer Mod Support: Hosts can activate mods before entering the multiplayer menu, and all participants must subscribe to the same mod to ensure compatibility. Supported frameworks include Vanilla DOOM, DeHackEd, MBF21, and BOOM.
- Improved Multiplayer Experience:
- Items can now be picked up by all players in co-op missions.
- A spectator mode has been added for players waiting to respawn.
- More player color options are available for better customization.
- Networking code has been optimized for smoother gameplay.

- Resolved an issue where red doors did not display correctly on the automap.

- Improved text wrapping for mod descriptions in Asian languages.
Switch-Specific Enhancements
On the Nintendo Switch, mod subscriptions now work across multiple user profiles, making it easier for households with shared consoles to enjoy custom content.
