We reported previously that id Software’s seminal FPS Doom would be coming to Evercade, and now we know just when tht will be, but that’s not all, because in addition to the release of a Doom Collection cartridge for Evercade, Blaze Entertainment will also be releasing a limited-edition Doom Edition variant of its upcoming Evercade Nexus handheld console, on which we have also reported previously.
Doom will make its Evercade debut as part of the Doom Collection cartridge, which will be cartridge number 11 in Evercade’s blue-boxed computer games line, and in addition to a native Evercade port of the original PC version of Doom (which promises enhanced features such as new Evercade-exclusive gameplay modifiers, violence settings, and multiplayer modes), the cartridge will also include a native Evercade port of the PC version of Doom II, as well as the TNT: Evilution, Plutonia Experiment, Master Levels for Doom II, No Rest for the Living, SIGIL, and SIGIL Il expansions, plus the Doom: Deathmatch Pack, featuring maps created specifically for multiplayer combat.
Pre-orders for The Doom Collection for Evercade are now open at Evercade vendors, and the cartridge is scheduled to ship on October 30, 2026, priced at $29.99 USD or local equivalent.
Meanwhile, the Evercade Nexus Doom Edition is limited to just 3,000 units and will include a limited edition Evercade Nexus Doom handheld console, the Doom Collection Evercade cartridge, a Doom comic, an Evercade Doom keyring, a double-sided A3 poster, and a certificate of authenticity the Evercade Nexus Doom Edition is exclusively available from Funstock, priced at $249.99 or local equivalent, and pre-orders will open tomorrow, August 7, 2026, at 7 AM PT.
