The Echoes of Worlds is an all-new roguelite platform game for the Game Boy Color, which has been developed by the French homebrew developers Team Calamar, and it’s available now as a physical cartridge release, via Broke Studio’s Homebrew Factory publishing platform, which is also currently taking pre-orders for the physical release of the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive homebrew title Escape 2049, as we reported last week.
Homebrew Factory describes the story of The Echoes of Worlds as follows: “just as he was getting ready for a quiet evening with his best friend, our hero witnessed his cat being kidnapped by a mysterious thief from an unknown dimension. Determined to get his cat back, he joins the Interdimensional Stability Brigade, which is also on the thief’s trail. Traveling from one dimension to another, he’ll need agility and quick reflexes to overcome increasingly dangerous challenges,” and it lists the key features of Echoes of Worlds as: “challenging platformer; 16 environments to test your skills; various items & new abilities to unlock; and a skill tree.”
The physical release of The Echoes of Worlds includes: the game on a cartridge; a cardboard tray; a full color cardboard box; a full color manual; ROM file of the game; and a digital game manual as a PDF, and it is priced at 50.00 € EU.
