Fan-Translated ‘Bomberman Jetters’ GBA Game Now Available

An English fan translation for the Japan-exclusive Game Boy Advance game Bomberman Jetters: Densetsu no Bomberman, released in 2002, is now available. Developed by AI and Hudson Soft and inspired by the Bomberman Jetters anime, the game features Mighty, Bomberman‘s older brother, as he combats the Hige Hige Bandits. While a 3D version for PlayStation 2 and GameCube gained more recognition, particularly with its North American release in 2004, fans have long sought an English translation. The project began in 2011 with a post by user Normmatt on the GBATemp forums and has seen various contributors over the years, including Higsby, Rai, and others who handled the scripting and hacking elements.

Download the patch from GitHub. The “jetters_eng.tbl” file in the “script” folder does not work, but Rifexd has shared an alternative link that works.

I’m Yousiff Taqi, born in ’87, and I’ve been a huge fan of retro games for as long as I can remember. My favorites are RPGs, Platformers, and Action Adventure. I’ve been interested in computers ever since I was young, which is why I pursued a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from Purdue University. Now, armed with my passion for both retro gaming and computer engineering, I’m excited to embark on new adventures in the world of technology, where I hope to merge my interests and make meaningful contributions. https://www.instagram.com/Aeon https://twitter.com/FencerDarkwind
