We first reported on Japanese indie developer Piisu Inc.’s fish ‘em up Fish Them All! when it was released for smartphones last month. And while we don’t often cover smartphone games, Fish Them All!’s gorgeous-looking pixel art had us hooked, and soon, players will be able to appreciate that beautiful pixel art on larger screens, as Fish Them All! Is set to launch on Steam, thanks to publisher Funyamora Games.
Fish Them All! is described as: “a short game with one enormous goal: catch all 100 million fish in the sea. Catch fish, learn skills, then catch even more. As you repeat this loop, both the number of fish you catch and the speed at which you catch them grow dramatically, while the remaining total steadily falls.”
In the game, you’ll get to: “drop your hook from a boat and snag the fish swimming through the water. Each fishing run lasts just 30–60 seconds. Spend the money you earn to expand your skill tree with faster movement, a larger hook, the ability to reel in more fish at once, and automated collection skills featuring divers, drones, UFOs, and more.”
The expected playtime of the game is 4–5 hours, and it’s described as: “a compact experience that lets players enjoy layer upon layer of upgrades and massive numerical growth from beginning to end.”
A Steam release date for Fish Them All is yet to be announced, but it is now available to add to your wishlist (or should that be “fishlist”? No. No, it shouldn’t!)
