Previously, we reported on a new homebrew NES Zapper game titled Virtua Agent, and now, Virtua Agent’s developer, RetroBro Gaming Entertainment, is seeking funds to produce a new platform game, titled Hobo Aldo’s Halloween Adventure, for the same format.
Hobo Aldo’s Halloween Adventure is described as: “a spooky new platformer, that is: “a brand-new NES platformer inspired by the classics of the 1980s, that’s: “easy to pick up, challenging to master, and packed with familiar gameplay!”
Rewards on offer in the Hobo Aldo’s Halloween Adventure Kickstarter campaign include various physical options including the game on a NES cartridge, and a digital pack option, which includes a NES ROM of the game, a digital copy of the game for PC, and a digital manual. At the time of writing, the Kickstarter campaign for Hobo Aldo’s Halloween Adventure has already raised almost twice the amount it was aiming for, with the total pledged currently standing at £6,663 against a target goal of £3,700, with 22 days still left to run on the campaign. Appropriately, Hobo Aldo’s Halloween Adventure is set to ship in October 2026.
