The IGS Classic Arcade Collection is a collection of eight titles that were originally released into arcades by the Taiwanese developer and publisher IGS.
IGS may not exactly be a household name, unlike many of the arcade game companies of the 1990s, but its PolyGame Master arcade board, which was released In 1997, was home to a number of the era’s coin-op titles, such as the eight games included on the IGS Classic Arcade Collection, which are: Knights of Valour: Super Heroes (1999); Knights of Valour Plus (1999); Knights of Valour 2 – Nine Dragons (2001); Oriental Legend (1997); Oriental Legend Spooky; Martial Masters(2000); Demon Front (2002); and The Gladiator (2003). A notable title developed for IGS’s that isn’t included in the IGS Classic Arcade Collection is Cave’s shmup DoDonPachi DaiOuJou.
The games included in the collection offer online and local multiplayer for to four players (depending on the game). The games also offer quality of life improvements such as built-in move lists, one-button special move shortcuts, and fully customizable key mapping. Also available are a variety of display options, from classic arcade-style screen filters to crisp high-definition visuals. The release will also offer support for a number of languages, which will be English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
The IGS Classic Arcade Collection was previously published on Nintendo Switch back in 2023, and is publisher, H2 Interactive, is set to bring the collection to PC via Steam on August 13, 2026.
