Izzy’s Arcade is the latest title in production from indie developers Senile Team. The new game will star Senile Team‘s mascot character, Izzy, who previously appeared in the developer’s popular Dreamcast indie platformer, Intrepid Izzy, which was also released for PC and modern consoles, as well as its initial home of the Dreamcast.
Unlike Izzy’s previous title, Intrepid Izzy, which was an old-school 2D platformer, Izzy’s Arcade has been described as “a video game arcade filled with strange, funny, quirky and experimental little games.” And though little has been shown of the games in Izzy’s Arcade so far, what little we have seen suggests that Izzy’s Arcade will bring us retro-style arcade games like the ones we all used to pump many a coin into back in the day!
So far, Izzy’s Arcade has only been confirmed for release on PC, though Senile Team are well known or developing Dreamcast games, and when they were asked on X by Dreamcast Junkyard about a Dreamcast version, they replied saying: “a Dreamcast release is “likely,” So lets keep our fingers crossed, eh?
While a release date for Izzy’s Arcade has not yet been announced, you can wishlist the game on Steam now, and we’ll certainly be following its progress here on Retro News.
