This title serves as a remaster of the 16-bit classic Ys III: Wanderers From Ys, originally released in 1989. The updated version features enhanced HD graphics, remastered music, new character art, and additional improvements.

According to the latest trailer, the game is scheduled for release on January 7, 2025, for PS4, PS5, and Switch.
