Konami Confirms MGS Master Collection Vol. 2 Plans

Konami is developing Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 2 and is currently evaluating the best approach for porting major titles in the series. During a live show, producer Noriaki Okamura mentioned that while HD ports exist for Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, many following titles lack such upgrades, presenting unique challenges.

Specific information about included titles, development timelines, and release dates is not yet available. The company aims to avoid the issues faced during the launch of Volume 1 and is asking for patience. Okamura noted that Metal Gear Solid 4 is only playable on PS3, highlighting the significance of potentially porting it and Peace Walker to modern platforms, which would mark the first chance to play MGS 4 outside of its original console.
