PPSSPP Emulator Eyes Apple App Store Launch

Sony fans will be pleased to hear that the PPSSPP emulator may soon be available on the App Store. According to creator Henrik Rydgard, the emulator will be released later this year as long as Apple allows emulators with ISO/ROM pickers.

Apple has confirmed that emulators on their app store can run ROMs, as long as they are for retro games. This news opens the door for the popular PSP emulator to be accessible on iPhones. Apple‘s distinction for allowing retro games avoids any potential issues with emulating consoles that still have active game production.
