QUByte Classics Releases to get PS One Updates

We previously reported on QUByte Interactive’s retro-focused QUByte ReConnect 2026 showcase, which was held yesterday (June 18, 2026).

One of the announcements made during the QUByte ReConnect showcase was that the publisher would be adding the PlayStation 1 versions of the games on two of its previous releases. With the PlayStation 1 version of Glover set to be added to its Glover re-release, on which we reported previously, and the PS1 version of Street Racer set to be added to the Street Racer Collection, which we reviewed previously, lamenting the lack of the PlayStation and Sega Saturn versions of the game in the collection, so it’s great that QUByte Interactive is updating the collection with one of them, at least!

Now, you might well be thinking something along the lines of “typical greedy games publishers, wringing every last penny out of their releases,” but in this case, your cynicism would be misplaced, as QUByte Interactive is actually adding the PlayStation versions of the games to their releases via a free update!

Glover was originally released by Hasbro Interactive in 1998 for Nintendo 64 and PC, with the PlayStation version following a year later. Street Racer was originally released for the Super Nintendo in 1994, before being ported to a number of other formats, including a PlayStation port in 1997.
