The Rainbow Parasol Collection for Nintendo Switch has been announced by Taito in a post on its X account.
The new Nintendo Switch collection will include the two titles which made up the recent Parasol Superstars compilation, namely Parasol Stars and Spica Adventure (which we adored when we reviewed it), but in addition to those two games, as is suggested by the title, Taito’s vertical platforming classic and the sequel to Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands will also be joining the party, with no fewer than six home console versions of Rainbow Islands set to be included in the compilation.
The versions of Rainbow Islands set to be included in the Rainbow Parasol Collection are the Famicom version, the NES version, the Sega Master System version, the PC Engine CD-ROM version, the Sega Mega Drive version, and the Sega Genesis version.
You can find out more at the official Rainbow Parasol Collection website.
The Rainbow Parasol Collection will be published by ININ Games on Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2026, with the titles also available to be purchased individually not only on Nintendo Switch, but also on PlayStation 4&5, and Xbox. Pre-orders for the physical Nintendo Switch edition of the Rainbow Parasol Collection opened in Japan today.
