Retro Gaming Revival: Dragon Slayer IV Joins the Switch Family on EGG Console

On April 11, 2024, D4 Enterprise released “EGG Console Dragon Slayer IV Drasle Family MSX2” (Also known as Legacy of the Wizard in the West) for the Nintendo Switch. This action RPG, originally developed by Nihon Falcom in 1987, allows players to switch between family members with unique abilities from their home base as they embark on adventures. The release includes a gallery mode where players can access the original manual and jacket covers.

This marks the first MSX title to arrive on the “EGG Console,” with plans for more iconic PC games to be added in the future. D4 Enterprise, based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo and led by CEO Naoto Suzuki, introduced this as the 12th title in their “EGG Console” series on their retro game distribution service “Project EGG” for the Nintendo Switch.

I’m Yousiff Taqi, born in ’87, and I’ve been a huge fan of retro games for as long as I can remember. My favorites are RPGs, Platformers, and Action Adventure. I’ve been interested in computers ever since I was young, which is why I pursued a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from Purdue University. Now, armed with my passion for both retro gaming and computer engineering, I’m excited to embark on new adventures in the world of technology, where I hope to merge my interests and make meaningful contributions. https://www.instagram.com/Aeon https://twitter.com/FencerDarkwind
