Sega has announced that it is teaming up with office furniture company Branch to produce a a collection of three ergonomic gaming chairs. The collection will feature three designs, which are based on Sonic, Genesis, and Dreamcast.
The chairs in the Branch X Sega collab range are based on Branch’s award-winning Ergonomic Chair Pro model, which Branch describes as its “ most advanced ergonomic chair, “and the chairs will be exclusively available from branch.com, priced at $629 USD.
While Sega will certainly need no introduction to readers of this site, Branch may well be somewhat less familiar. Branch CEO Greg Hayes said that the idea for Branch came to him after he: “realized the average office furniture company falls into one of two categories: high quality, but expensive and slow, or affordable and fast but lacking in quality and service. There wasn’t a great option for individuals and teams who wanted to furnish an inspiring office without taking forever or breaking the bank.” Hayes established Branch in 2018 to attempt to address this issue, saying that the aim of Branch is: “to make it easy for people and teams to create inspiring offices.”
Sega announced the Branch X Sega collaboration on its X account, describing it as: “first-of-its-kind collaboration.”
