These re-releases are being handled by Limited Run Games and mark a significant milestone for fans of retro gaming, particularly those who have followed the Anett and Earnest trilogy developed by Wolf Team.
About the Games
- Earnest Evans (1991): An action platformer in which players control Earnest Evans III, a treasure hunter on a quest to stop an ancient evil by recovering powerful idols. The Sega CD version, previously exclusive to Japan, features animated cutscenes created by Madhouse and a CD-quality soundtrack, both of which were missing from the Genesis version released in North America.
- Anett Returns (1993): The final entry in the trilogy, this side-scrolling beat-’em-up follows Anett Myer as she wields magic and a sword to stop a mysterious sect from unleashing destruction. The game is known for its anime-style cutscenes and gameplay reminiscent of Golden Axe.
